company.

Credentials and certificates must be presented when you apply for loan
or any financing program, along with credit card usage is a valid ID   and any person who transacts legal matters with anybody or any establishment needs to present valid ID as proof of his genuine identity.

These are not uncommon scenes when we encounter the word authentic.  Authentic according to dictionary is synonymous to certain, legitimate, real or trustworthy. Thus, Authentication is the process of determining whether someone or something is, in fact, who or what it is declared to be. The plural of Latin word datum?  Matter of fact, yes, but more than that, it is a collection or a group of qualitative and/or quantitative attributes of variable or set of variables. It is something we consider important or valuable from which information or knowledge is derived.

Keeping data is critical back then since things were done manually and storage devices are not readily available. Paper documents, images or pictures once burned are lost forever.
